Ertiga’s Triumph: Maruti’s 7-Seater Leads the Pack in Sales and Affordability

Maruti Ertiga Outshines Competitors with Record Sales and Affordable Pricing

In the competitive world of seven-seater cars in India, Maruti Ertiga has emerged as a dominant force, setting new records with its remarkable sales figures. The demand for vehicles that can comfortably accommodate seven passengers has been steadily rising, and Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga and XL6 models have capitalized on this trend, establishing their dominance in the segment. The Ertiga, which was launched in July, has witnessed an impressive surge in sales, boasting a staggering annual growth rate of 48 percent.

Record-Breaking Sales The Maruti Ertiga has proven to be a game-changer, with a whopping 14,352 units sold since its launch. The momentum continued to rise in August, with an impressive 12,315 units sold during the month. This exceptional performance has solidified the Ertiga’s position as the best-selling seven-seater car in India, surpassing its competitors, including the Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Bolero, and Toyota Innova. Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest car manufacturer, remains at the forefront, with a backlog of over 4 lakh pending orders.

What Sets the Ertiga Apart? The Ertiga’s popularity can be attributed to its robust powertrain and competitive pricing. Under the hood, the Ertiga MPV houses a 1.5-litre dualjet petrol engine equipped with mild hybrid technology, delivering an impressive 103 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, with the added option of a CNG variant. What makes the Ertiga even more appealing is its starting ex-showroom price of just Rs 8.35 lakh, making it an accessible choice for a wide range of customers.

Rising Sales Trend The Maruti Ertiga’s stellar performance extends beyond its annual growth rate, with July sales of 14,352 units and a notable monthly surge compared to June’s figures, which stood at 8,422 units. This indicates a significant uptick in monthly sales. Furthermore, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco, recognized as the most budget-friendly seven-seater car in the country, has also experienced a boost in monthly sales, with 12,037 units sold in July.

In summary, Maruti Ertiga has taken the Indian seven-seater car market by storm, achieving unprecedented sales figures and securing its position as the best-selling model in its class. With its potent powertrain and competitive pricing, the Ertiga has become an irresistible choice for many customers, contributing to Maruti Suzuki’s continued success in the automotive industry.
