Mark Gurman, known for his Apple insights, shared in his “Power On” newsletter for Bloomberg that “A car is still a ways out.” More precisely, it seems that Apple’s vehicle project is not anticipated to “ship anything until later in the decade.”
Gurman’s assessment aligns with a previous statement made by Ming-Chi Kuo in late September. Kuo expressed a lack of visibility on the project’s progress, casting doubt on the Apple Car’s ability to enter mass production within the coming years. Back in March, Kuo had even suggested that the Apple Car team had been disbanded, putting a 2025 launch in jeopardy.
The discussion surrounding the Apple Car’s timeline emerged following Apple’s Q4 2023 financial results. To truly revitalize its business, Apple is expected to introduce one of its “next big things” to the market.
