Bajaj’s Chetak 2.0: A Glimpse into the Future of Electric Scooters in India

Bajaj Auto, a stalwart in the Indian automotive industry, is gearing up to elevate its Chetak Electric Scooter lineup with a series of enhancements, promising an affordable and efficient ride for consumers. The updated version, set to be unveiled in the coming months, boasts improvements such as a larger battery, increased range, and advanced features, positioning it as a formidable contender in the electric scooter segment.

Key Features of the Upcoming Chetak Electric Scooter:

1. Improved Electric Motor:

The new Chetak will be equipped with a 4.25kWh BLDC electric motor, delivering enhanced performance and an extended range.

2. Larger Battery for Extended Range:

A 3.2kWh battery pack is expected to power the scooter, providing an ARAI-certified range of 126 km, a significant boost from the current model’s 2.9kWh battery and 113 km range.

3. Advanced Display and Connectivity:

Anticipated features include a 5-7 inch TFT color display, smartphone connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation capabilities for a modern and connected riding experience.

Bajaj’s Pioneering Move: India’s First CNG-Powered Motorcycle

In addition to the Chetak Electric Scooter updates, Bajaj Auto is reportedly pushing the boundaries of innovation by testing India’s first motorcycle powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). This move reinforces Bajaj’s commitment to exploring sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Consistency in Excellence: Bajaj Auto’s Impressive Sales Growth

Bajaj Auto has demonstrated exceptional performance in the market, recording a remarkable 31% increase in total sales in November. The company sold a total of 4,03,003 units, a significant rise from 3,06,719 units in November 2022. The domestic market witnessed an astounding 69% growth, with sales totaling 2,57,744 units compared to 1,52,883 units in the same period last year.
