Astro Pro and Astro Pro 10: E1’s Electric Scooters with a 200 KM Range

In the rapidly evolving landscape of the Indian electric two-wheeler market, new players are entering the arena with innovative offerings. Over the last few months, the segment has witnessed a surge in activity, with companies such as Ola, Ather, and TVS leading the charge. However, even smaller firms are now making significant strides in their sales efforts.

Astro Pro and Astro Pro 10

Gurugram-based electric vehicle manufacturer Electric One (E1) has introduced the Astro Pro and Astro Pro 10 electric scooters. The standout feature of the Pro model is its impressive claimed range of up to 200 km on a single charge, placing it in direct competition with industry giants like Ola, Ather, and TVS in the Indian market.

Pricing and Features

The Astro Pro comes with an on-road price of ₹99,999, while the Astro Pro 10 is priced at ₹1,24,999. E1 is offering these scooters in a vibrant array of five color options: Red Berry, Blaze Orange, Elegant White, Metallic Grey, and Racing Green. Both models are equipped with a 72-volt lithium-ion battery paired with a robust 2000-watt motor. These scooters offer an impressive range of 200 km on a single charge and can achieve a top speed of 65 km/h. Accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h takes just 2.99 seconds, and they can be fully charged at home within 3 to 4 hours.

Additional Features

Both scooters come with a suite of modern features, including a smart display, carbon coating, alloy wheels with front and rear disc brakes, LED headlamps, and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). They also provide the convenience of remote lock-unlock and an anti-theft alarm system for enhanced security. The Astro Pro boasts a range of 100 km, while the Astro Pro 10 extends that to 120 km, further increasing to an impressive 200 km with the Adventure S battery.

E1 is initially offering these electric scooters in several Indian states, including Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Assam. The company has ambitious expansion plans, aiming to reach 20 additional cities in the near future. Currently, E1 boasts a network of over 100 outlets and service centers spread across more than 80 Indian cities.

Moreover, the company has its sights set on the international market, with plans to establish showrooms in Sri Lanka and Nepal. E1 Energy, the parent company, has already been successfully marketing its scooters in countries like Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and Indonesia. E1 has a well-equipped in-house manufacturing facility located in Manesar, Gurugram, and has cultivated strategic partnerships with leading global suppliers.
