2024 Toyota Fortuner: Aggressive Style Takes Center Stage in Rendered Images

The all-new 2024 Toyota Fortuner is generating buzz as enthusiasts eagerly await its global debut, expected late next year or possibly in 2025. With the Hilux’s next generation set to be unveiled in 2024, the Fortuner, known for its popularity in India, is also due for significant updates.

Bold and Aggressive Design

Speculations surrounding the 2024 Fortuner’s design suggest heavy influence from the latest Tacoma pickup truck. While we eagerly await its official reveal, rendered images from Q Cars provide a tantalizing glimpse of the forthcoming full-size SUV. Notably, these digital renderings portray an optimistic yet captivating vision of the third-gen Fortuner.

The redesigned front fascia catches the eye with a distinctive split headlamp cluster crowned by DRLs, a more prominent skid plate, and aggressive housing elements throughout. Blacked-out accents impart a menacing aura, while a broader air intake and an enlarged front grille featuring the iconic Toyota badge at its center add to the Fortuner’s commanding presence. The squared-off wheel arches, complemented by black cladding, contribute to the SUV’s rugged appeal.

Exterior and Interior Highlights

In addition to these design updates, the 2024 Fortuner is expected to feature larger wheels, flat body panels, a subtly sloping roofline, full-width twin LED taillamps, a new tailgate design, and a completely revamped bumper area with trapezoidal exhaust outlets. Inside, the SUV is set to elevate its premium quotient, offering a more upscale experience with an enlarged touchscreen infotainment system, enhanced connectivity options, and improved safety technologies.

Enhanced Performance and Underpinnings

Under the skin, the 2024 Fortuner is likely to benefit from the modified TNGA-F body-on-frame architecture, shared with the latest Land Cruiser and Lexus GX. This platform will not only improve off-road capabilities but also enhance on-road manners. Expect increased towing capacity and potential growth in overall dimensions.

Powering the Fortuner, you can anticipate a 2.8L four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, complemented by 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. This engine is set to become available in the Hilux from the next year in international markets. Additionally, there are reports of a 2.4L turbo diesel/hybrid powertrain in development, possibly accompanying the 2.4L turbo petrol/hybrid unit already available in the new Prado. For the global market, a 3.3L turbo V6 diesel, borrowed from the LC 300, is also under speculation.

The 2024 Toyota Fortuner is poised to redefine its segment with a striking design, enhanced capabilities, and a plethora of modern features, all aimed at elevating the SUV experience to new heights.
