Tata Motors’ Electric division, a frontrunner in India’s electric car market, recently unveiled the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift. This eagerly awaited electric sub-compact SUV has now commenced its journey to customers across the country. A heartwarming video capturing the delivery of the very first 2023 Tata Nexon EV in India has been shared online.

A Joyous Delivery Celebration

The video showcasing the delivery of the inaugural Tata Nexon EV in India has been posted on YouTube by The Rehan Cars on their channel. It provides a heartwarming glimpse of a Tata dealership buzzing with excitement as the family members and showroom staff come together for the delivery ceremony, marked by a celebratory cake-cutting moment.

The showcased Tata Nexon EV in the video is presented in an elegant white shade. While the exact variant of this particular Nexon EV remains undisclosed, Tata Motors has introduced two trims for the 2023 model year: the Medium Range (MR) and the Long Range (LR).

Diverse Performance and Range Options

The MR variant, catering to the budget-conscious, retains the same 30 kWh battery as its predecessor but now boasts a claimed ARAI range of 325 km. In contrast, the LR variant, catering to those seeking an extended range, is equipped with a 40.5 kWh battery offering a claimed ARAI range of 465 km. Performance-wise, the MR iteration of the Nexon EV delivers 129 horsepower and 215 Newton-meters of torque, while the LR version matches the torque figure but offers a higher power output of 145 horsepower.

2023 Tata Nexon EV Facelift: A Facelift with a Flourish

This year, Tata Motors has invested significantly in the new Nexon EV facelift, endowing it with numerous segment-first features. The sub-compact EV SUV boasts a fresh exterior design characterized by a modern split headlamp layout that exudes a futuristic vibe. While the front-end design may resemble the ICE Nexon facelift, it incorporates distinctive alterations.

The most prominent change is the inclusion of a full-width LED DRL (Daytime Running Light) strip on top, in contrast to the disconnected LED DRL on the ICE Nexon facelift. The lower grille also boasts a distinct design. Inside the cabin, occupants are greeted by a substantially larger 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an upgrade from the 10.25-inch unit in the previous Nexon facelift.

A Technological Marvel

The 2023 Tata Nexon EV Facelift introduces several tech-savvy features, including Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capabilities. Entertainment and convenience are taken up a notch with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, ventilated and height-adjustable front seats, a JBL 9-speaker sound system, an air purifier, a single-pane electric sunroof, fast-charging Type-C ports, a wireless charger, and the newly unveiled Arcade EV app suite. This innovative app suite enables vehicle owners to stream content from popular OTT platforms such as Disney+Hotstar and Prime Video.

Variety of Options and Pricing

Tata Motors offers the 2023 Nexon EV in six distinct variants: Creative+, Fearless, Fearless+, Fearless+S, Empowered, and Empowered+. Additionally, customers can choose from two battery options, MR (Medium Range) and LR (Long Range). The MR model is priced between Rs 14.74 lakh and Rs 17.84 lakh, while the LR model is available in all variants except Creative+ and Empowered, ranging from Rs 18.19 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh.
