Maruti Suzuki’s Eeco Records Remarkable 7000% Annual Growth in Export Sales
Maruti Suzuki, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has achieved a remarkable milestone with its affordable 7-seater car, the Eeco. In August, the Eeco witnessed a staggering 7000% year-on-year growth in export sales, marking a significant achievement for the company.
Last month, Maruti Suzuki exported a total of 668 units of the Eeco, compared to a mere 9 units in August 2022. This exponential growth has catapulted the Eeco to the 25th position among the 55 most exported car models. Notably, Maruti’s Baleno continues to lead the export charts.
New Features and Variants of the 2022 Maruti Eeco
The 2022 Maruti Eeco comes with several exciting updates, making it an even more appealing choice for customers. With dimensions of 3,675mm in length, 1,475mm in width, and 1,825mm in height, the Eeco offers ample space and versatility. The ambulance version boasts a height of 1,930mm.
Under the hood, the new Eeco is equipped with the advanced K Series 1.2-litre engine, replacing the older G12B petrol motor. This engine delivers a maximum output of 80.76 PS and peak torque of 104.5 Nm in the petrol model. When running on CNG, the power slightly reduces to 71.65 PS, with a maximum torque of 95 Nm.
Impressive Mileage and Safety Features
The 2022 Eeco offers excellent fuel efficiency, with the Tour variant claiming a mileage of 20.2 km/l for petrol and 27.05 km/kg for CNG. The Passenger trim is also fuel-efficient, providing 19.7 km/l for petrol and 26.78 km/kg for CNG.
Maruti Suzuki has prioritized safety in the new Eeco, equipping it with 11 safety features. These include reverse parking sensors, an engine immobilizer, child locks for doors, a seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD, and dual front airbags.
Affordable Pricing
For those interested in the new Eeco, it’s worth noting that the price range is quite competitive. The most affordable variant, the Tour V 5-seater Standard, starts at Rs 5.27 lakh (ex-showroom). The 5-seater Eeco with AC is priced at Rs 5.63 lakh (ex-showroom), while the CNG variants start at Rs 6.32 lakh. The Eeco Ambulance, designed for specific needs, is priced at Rs 8.27 lakh.
