Pune: Additional Municipal Commissioner of Pune Ravindra Binwade has been appointed as the Agriculture Commissioner. Additional Chief Secretary (Services) Nitin Gadre issued the order of his appointment on Tuesday (June 25).
The Agriculture Commissioner’s post was lying vacant. The order states that Binwade has been appointed to the post by converting the post to the junior administrative rank. He has been asked to hand over his current charge to another officer, in consultation with the Principal Secretary (2) (UDD).
Binwade had replaced Additional Municipal Commissioner Rubal Agrawal. Before joining his current post, he was the District Magistrate of Jalna. He belongs to the 2012 batch of IAS officers.
