PM KISAN 16th Installment Date Announced; These Farmers Will Not Get Rs. 2000

The Indian government has officially announced the release date for the much-awaited PM KISAN 16th Installment, set to benefit eligible farmers across the nation. According to the information available on the PM KISAN website, the 16th installment is scheduled to be disbursed at the end of February, specifically on February 28th.

Under the PM KISAN scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive an annual cash benefit of Rs. 6,000, distributed in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each. The previous installment, the 15th, was disbursed on November 15th, amounting to a substantial sum of Rs. 18,000 crore and benefiting over 8 crore farmers.

PM Kisan 16th Installment: Eligibility Criteria

While the scheme aims to support farmers across the country, it’s essential to note that certain categories of farmers are excluded from availing the benefits. Institutional landholders and farmer families whose members have paid income tax in the last assessment year fall under this exclusion. Additionally, families with members holding or having held constitutional positions such as mayors of Municipal Corporations, chairpersons of District Panchayats, or former or current members of legislative bodies are ineligible for the scheme’s benefits.

Checking Payment Status and Details

Farmers eager to check their installment status and payment details can conveniently do so through the official PM Kisan website. By navigating to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section and selecting the ‘Beneficiary Status & List’ option, farmers can fill in the required details and obtain their status report promptly.

Campaign for e-KYC Compliance

To ensure the seamless processing of payments, farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This can be done through the ‘e-KYC’ link provided on the left-hand side of the homepage of the PM Kisan website. By diligently filling in the required information and submitting it, farmers contribute to expediting the disbursement process.

Recognizing the importance of timely payments, a campaign for e-KYC compliance has been launched. District administrations will set up Common Service Center camps in villages or blocks as necessary to facilitate this process. Trained staff at these centers will assist farmers in addressing any concerns or issues related to payment delays promptly. Farmers are encouraged to visit these camps to ensure their e-KYC is complete and to seek resolution for any outstanding issues.

In case of any queries or issues pertaining to the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers can reach out via email at [email protected] or contact the helpline numbers provided: 155261 or 1800115526 (Toll-Free) or 011-23381092.
