In a monumental step towards enhancing Maharashtra’s infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and dedicate projects worth more than Rs 4900 crore in Yavatmal. These projects span rail, road, and irrigation, demonstrating the government’s commitment to regional development.

The Prime Minister will release the 16th instalment of over Rs 21,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme during the public programme. Additionally, the disbursement of the 2nd and 3rd instalments of about Rs 3800 crore under ‘Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi’ will benefit approximately 88 lakh farmers in Maharashtra.

Furthering financial empowerment, PM Modi will distribute Rs 825 crore of Revolving Fund to 5.5 lakh women Self Help Groups (SHGs) across the state, fostering micro-enterprises at the village level. The distribution of one crore Ayushman cards aims to achieve 100 percent saturation of government welfare schemes.

Launching the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries, the Prime Minister will transfer the first instalment of Rs 375 Crore to 2.5 lakh beneficiaries, marking the initiation of the construction of 10 lakh houses from FY 2023-24 to FY 2025-26.

Dedicating multiple irrigation projects developed at a cost of over Rs 2750 crore, PM Modi emphasizes the significance of agriculture through Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojna (PMKSY) and Baliraja Jal Sanjeevani Yojana (BJSY).

In the rail sector, projects exceeding Rs. 1300 crore will be inaugurated, including the Wardha-Kalamb and New Ashti-Amalner broad gauge lines, aiming to enhance connectivity in Vidarbha and Marathwada. The Prime Minister will also virtually flag off two train services connecting Kalamb and Wardha, as well as Amalner and New Ashti.

The road sector will witness a significant boost with the inauguration of four-laning on the Warora-Wani section of NH-930, and road upgradation projects connecting Sakoli-Bhandara and Salaikhurd-Tirora, contributing to improved connectivity and reduced travel time.

As a tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the Prime Minister will inaugurate his statue in Yavatmal city, reflecting the government’s commitment to socio-economic development and strengthening the cultural fabric of the region.
