Kondhwa, October 31, 2023: Approximately 32,500 electricity consumers in Pune’s Kondhwa area can now expect an enhanced and more reliable power supply. The persistent issue of overloaded power lines has been effectively resolved by dividing existing power lines and establishing alternative power supply arrangements through load management.
Inauguration of New 22 KV Power Line
Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar recently inaugurated the new 22 KV power line originating from the Shobha 22/22 switching station, a part of the Rasta Peth division of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL). The inauguration ceremony was attended by several key officials, including Superintending Engineer Arvind Bulbule, Executive Engineer Chandrakant Dighe, Additional Executive Engineer Rajendra Bhujbal, and Assistant Engineer Srikant Avachar.
Addressing Overloaded Power Lines
Previously, electricity was supplied to 32,500 consumers in the Kondhwa area through the 22 KV power line from the Sobha switching station. However, the growing demand for electricity had placed a significant burden on this channel, and there was no alternative power supply mechanism due to load management limitations. To tackle this issue, MSEDCL undertook the construction of a new 22 KV power line, named the JK Park 22 KV power line, originating from the same switching station. As a result, out of the 32,503 consumers on the original power line, 15,019 are now served by the Sobha-Kondhwa power line, while the remaining 17,484 are connected to the new JK Park power line.
Benefits for Kondhwa Residents
This development means that electricity consumers in areas like Bhagyodanagar, Saibaba Nagar, Nawazish Park, Mitha Nagar, and more in the Kondhwa region will experience a higher quality and more consistent power supply. This improvement will enhance the daily lives and businesses of the residents, ensuring a more stable and uninterrupted source of electricity.
