In a coordinated effort between the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and local law enforcement, three Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended in Moshi, Pune, for residing illegally in India. The arrests were made following a tip-off from the ATS team, resulting in swift action by the Pimpri Chinchwad Police.
The detainees, identified as Sukantha Bagchi (21), Nayan Bagchi (22), and Samrat Bala (22), all hailing from the Madaripura district in Bangladesh, were employed at a construction site in the Borhadewadi area of Moshi. They had been residing in a labor colony adjacent to the construction site. The ATS received information about these foreign nationals residing illegally in the city on September 5, which prompted them to alert the Pimpri Chinchwad Police.
After verifying the provided information, the police apprehended the three individuals on September 18. It was determined that they had entered India without valid documents and were staying in Pimpri Chinchwad for an extended period. In response to the incident, a case has been registered at the Bhosari MIDC police station, following a complaint filed by ATS personnel. The authorities are actively pursuing further investigations into the matter.
