Pune: In a bid to enhance passenger safety and improve driver behavior, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced a new initiative where passengers reporting reckless drivers will receive a reward of Rs 100. The recently appointed PMPML President, Sachindra Pratapsingh, aims to provide better facilities for passengers and promote responsible driving.
After assuming office, President Sachindra Pratapsingh conducted a thorough inspection of PMPML services over the past few days. During his visit, he witnessed instances of unruly behavior from some drivers. In response, the president has initiated a program that rewards passengers who report reckless drivers with a cash incentive of Rs 100.
Under this initiative, a penalty amount will be deducted from the driver’s salary for any instances of indiscipline. President Sachindra Pratapsingh stated that the deducted amount will be given as a reward to the passenger who made the complaint.
This reward system serves a dual purpose of improving driver conduct and encouraging passengers to actively report any instances of reckless driving. By creating a financial incentive for passengers, PMPML aims to enhance passenger safety and hold drivers accountable for their actions.
